This 86-bed boutique hotel, developed by Dominvs Group, will be the first hotel in London to be branded Motto by Hilton, Hilton’s newest affordable lifestyle brand located in prime neighbourhoods in some of the world’s most visited cities.
Work on the 30,000 sq ft hotel has started targeting a 2020 opening.
Our client’s vision is to redevelop this well-located site creating a unique hospitality experience. We are tasked with creating an exciting contemporary and efficient intervention that works within its context, and enhances the street level activities with the hotel’s public spaces.
A brand like Motto was the perfect ally to achieve this. Its cleverly designed rooms offer the flexibility and connectivity needed to match the expectations of the savvy city explorer, while their common spaces invite the guests to relax or work in a wide open use space.
Our scheme melds influences from the surrounding neighbourhood into a distinctive but complementary contemporary design. The design is higher than the existing office building better matching the character, scale and hierarchy of the streetscape .
The materials integrate sympathetically into the diverse collection of periods and styles of the surrounding buildings. The front façade is predominately made of two types of stone: a light stone will bring visual attention to the façade’s projection, while a darker stone will blend with the darker elevations of neighbouring buildings.
