We are working for Resolution Property to reconfigure this aparthotel scheme which will now operate as a Hyatt Place hotel. The site was previously home to a seven-storey, 75,000 sq ft, office block.
The hotel will feature a ninth-floor lounge and terrace with views across London, a flexible meeting room concept, a further lobby and restaurant area alongside an orangery, gym, and a grab-and-go food market.
Due to open in 2020, it will be the first Hyatt Place in central London and the seventh Hyatt-branded hotel in the UK.
Our design increases the room count within the existing footprint, from 217 to 280 keys. We have also added a roof top guest lounge and expanded the front of house area on the lower ground floor. Planning permission was granted in 2018.
Our experience in hotel design and space planning helped us reconfigure the plans and considerably increase the number of keys, while also achieving a striking roof top lounge and additional front of house space. Careful planning and liaison with the brand and operator also saw the acceptance of a smaller than standard guest room size appropriate to the hotel’s location and demographic.
