Our design response to the brief is inspired by the hotel’s location, using organic forms and nature as a basis to create flexible spaces with an emphasis placed on connectivity.
The refurbishment is planned over two levels with a more casual prefunction lounge leading to two
event and banqueting suites on the ground floor and a ‘creative attic’ of meeting rooms with technology as a main focus on the first floor.
Clever furniture and lighting choices mean the events space works across all times of the day. For example a
multi-functional timber bar can transition from catering for a daytime conference to a private party at night and when not in use can be shut down to create an installation art piece. The furniture specified works for both internal and external use, helping to merge interior and exterior spaces.
