Dexter Moren is returning for the third time to speak and share his expertise and experience at the third annual THINC Africa conference, taking place in Cape Town 5th-6th September.
Dexter grew up in Johannesburg and maintains a strong affinity with Africa. His first hotel design was the 30-storey iconic beachfront Marine Parade hotel in Durban in 1981. One of his latest African hotel designs, Tsogo Sun’s Sunsquare & StayEasy Cape Town City Bowl Hotels which opened in September 2017, is owned by the same owners as that first Durban hotel.
On day one of the conference, Dexter will discuss mid-market hotel expansion plans with Michael Collini, VP Development at Hilton International, Andrew McLachlan – SVP Business Development at Radisson Hotel Group and Cyril Jacob – Managing Partner at Acsentis.
The Tourism, Hotel Investment & Networking Conference (THINC) Africa 2018 provides a unique platform to discuss the future of the tourism and hotel industry in South Africa. The event will continue to bring together key decision makers, from across hotel development and investment markets, to explore the tremendous opportunities that this region presents and deliberate on how to mitigate the potential risks of hotel development in Africa. It will be held on 5th-6th September, at the Century City Conference Centre, Cape Town by HVS.
