‘This is Manchester, we do things differently here.’

Press release 7 July 2016

The new Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre officially opens today. Situated in the heart of the city, the interiors for this vibrant 298-key Holiday Inn designed by Dexter Moren Associates, are inspired by the cultural icons of the city and its rich industrial heritage.

The interior design concept reflects a creative and flexible approach with custom-made nostalgic features, combined with the latest technology and high quality contemporary finishes. A signature open lobby concept combines an open plan reception, restaurant, lounge and Starbucks café. Suites are named after famous local footballing heroes and function rooms after home-grown musicians. Guestrooms range from standard to luxury top-end suites.

An open Wi-Fi IT Zone and innovative meeting facilities are designed to attract guests as well as local residents and businesses. Flexible events facilities including 12 cutting edge meeting rooms with capacity for 140 delegates.

DMA Interior designer David Harte commented:
“There is a quote by the legendary Tony Wilson (of Factory Records fame) illuminated in neon lights on the ground floor reading ‘This is Manchester, we do things differently here’ and I think this perfectly sums up the significance of the city, the hotel brand, our approach and this particular design concept.”
