Dexter Moren Associates has secured planning consent on behalf of Crest Nicholson to develop 14 contemporary apartments in Hempel Hampstead. Featuring timber panel inserts and julliete balconies, the dual aspect apartments have been designed to maximize views of the adjacent park and provide new housing stock to suit professionals, young families and first time buyers.
The site, a former BP petrol filling station, is situated within the town centre opposite Leverstock Green. The design draws on neighbouring building patterns, styles, materials and detailing to provide a modern solution and emphasizes the relationship between the local centre and the openness of the Green.
The apartments feature stained and natural Chestnut timber panel insets, red multi-brick and contrasting dark brick soldier course and lentils, along with Juliette balconies.
Construction is expected to start on site this month.
