On Thursday 6th March 3 representatives from DMA – Jonathan Picardo, Stuart Cross and Jacqui Labb – set off for the ‘Cycle to Cannes’ (C2C) ride to MIPIM. Joining 115 other riders, all professionals in property, development and architecture, the endurance event took five days to complete and covered 1500km.
On Tuesday 11th March a jubilant C2C peloton arrived in Cannes. The group rode along the Croisette before turning into the forecourt of the Palais de Festival where Peter Rhodes of MIPIM presented all the riders with medals.
The C2C ride, organised by Peter Murray, chairman of Wordsearch, aims to raise money for four charities; Architects for Aid, which trains architects to assist in disaster relief; Sarah Matheson Trust, which supports those suffering from multiple system atrophy; and the Tom Rhys Memorial Trust, which helps disadvantaged young people.
