Luxury Hotel, Istanbul
DMA were invited by a leading international developer to design a luxury 5-star hotel within a larger costal masterplan. The design has been carefully planned to ensure all elements of the project face the Sea of Marmara to provide guests with an immediate waterfront connection. The hotel and apart hotel are clearly differentiated in the design. The 150 bed apart hotel is defined by the wave of balconies of different frequency meeting the shore. The luxury hotel, below the waves, is defined by a delicate screen of bubbles and rocks stopping the waves on the shore. Internally the contemporary design references its Ottoman heritage and incorporates retail, spa, leisure, ballroom and conferencing facilities.
