
DMA branch into sports design with first stadium project in Russia
Dexter Moren Associates have secured their first sports project in Russia for FC Spartak Moscow. Set to become a new home for the football club it will also serve as a key venue for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. DMA's facade design will provide a state of the art stadium that reflects the tradition and history of Moscow's national football club.

12.02.13 Plans approved for a new hotel in the heart of Wembley
Brent Council planning committee has approved our plans for a new hotel in the heart of Wembley town centre, only moments away from the iconic Wembley Stadium. The project for Euro Hotels Group entails the conversion of the former Valiant House, a three storey disused office building into a 51 bed hotel. The internal core will be reconfigured to allow for double & family sized rooms as well as the necessary upgrade of services. The redesigned entrance provides a welcoming & accessible reception and lounge area with interiors facing onto the High Road to create an active street frontage.

15.03.12 DMA make the cut for Shanghai Shop Windows
Dexter Moren Associates are delighted to have been selected to take part in the first RIBA Shanghai Shop Windows project. Collaborating with renowned Japanese brand franc franc, DMA will be designing a new shop window display in the city's Xintiandi shopping centre, to be unveiled in September for owner Shui On Development. The RIBA London initiative is based on the success of the Regent Street Shop Windows event, now in its third year, in which architects create displays for retailers. DMA were one of nine British practices selected from 80 applicants.

13.12.11 New designs revealed for The Morton Hotel, Russell Square
DMA’s interior team have been working to refurbish The Morton into a boutique aparthotel. Located on Russell Square in the heart of Bloomsbury, DMA’s design draws inspiration from the ideals of the Bloomsbury Group, a set of writers, artists and philosophers whose members included Virginia Woolf, Vanessa Bell, Roger Fry and EM Forster.

01.12.11 Refurbishment to Menzies Hotels
DMA have been appointed to work with Menzies Hotels to refurbish their Prince Regent Hotel in Chigwell ahead of the London Olympics. New concepts will be produced for the bedrooms and public spaces to enhance the property's successful conferencing & entertainment facilities.

Royal Docks hotel gets green light from Newham Council. Hotel specialist architects Dexter Moren Associates have secured planning consent from London Borough of Newham on behalf of the developer, FORTUS for a 204 bedroom Express by Holiday Inn at Royal Docks.

04.10.11 The Mandeville Hotel set for expansion
Dexter Moren Associates are delighted to have been appointed to work with The Mandeville Hotel to submit plans for expansion. Located in the heart of Marylebone, this high-end luxury hotel provides 142 bedrooms, 6 suites, and a unique Penthouse, with award-winning cuisine at the deVille Restaurant and the deVigne Bar. DMA's proposal will look at extending and remodelling the tower to address the hotels prominence from Marylebone Lane to increase and improve their bedroom offering.

04.10.11 Travelodge London City Opens
Working on behalf of ING with Wilmott Dixon Interiors, Dexter Moren Associates have completed Travelodge London City. Housed within a listed building formerly used as offices, DMA have reconfigured the building to enable the most efficient use of space, providing a total of 74 bedrooms. Accessed via a cobbled mews off St.Swithin's Lane, the hotel provides convenient accommodation in the heart of the City.

DMA are delighted to be shortlisted as the designer / architect / contractor firm of the year. These new awards have been established by Hotel Analyst, offering an opportunity for the industry to recognise who they believe to be best in class in Europe. The judges will be looking for the firm that has demonstrated the best value added work around hotel investment. 16.09.11 Helsinki Office Trip
DMA's annual office study trip took the team to Helsinki to coincide with the opening of Helsinki Design Week. For three days DMA were immersed in Finnish design and culture, exploring a range of iconic projects by the likes of Aalto, Saarinen and Holl to name but a few. As well as participating in the festivities of design week the highlights of the itinerary consisted of a guided tour around the Aalto house, quietly absorbing the atmosphere of the Temppelianko Church and exploring the vast fortification of Suoemelinna Island.

08.07.11 Montcalm London City Opens
Dexter Moren Associates have been working with Precis Holdings since 2010, assisting to convert the former 18th Century Whitbread Brewery into a luxury Montcalm hotel. Fronting Chiswell Street and bounded by Milton Street & Silk Street the new hotel provides 235 luxury rooms with associated leisure facilities in a prominent location between the Barbican and office towers surrounding Moorgate. DMA secured planning consent and reworked the unoccupied building to enable a full service hotel whilst achieving 30 additional rooms.

DMA's creative approach to transforming a redundant warehouse for Camden Town Unlimited has been recognised as the joint winner of the office conversion category at New London Architecture's Don't Move, Improve! Awards.

30.11.10 Express Extension
DMA have secured planning consent on behalf of Splendid Hotels for an extension to the Earls Court Holiday Inn Express, which was also originally designed and built by the practice. The extension will provide 50 new bedrooms over three floors at the rear of the site, suspended above a ground floor car park servicing the existing premises.

06.08.10 DMA secure planning permission for Kings Cross Hotel
DMA has helped secure planning permission for a change of use to develop a hotel in Kings Cross on behalf of Romulus Construction Ltd. The hotel, which sits opposite the British Library, will provide 270 bedrooms with offices on the upper floors and retail at ground floor.

DMA has secured outlining planning for four new hotels at London's leading airports - Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted - which will provide a total of 1,570 rooms at a value of £125m for the Arora Family Trust.

19.06.09 DMA win competition to design Thailand Resort
Dexter Moren Associates and J2 have won an international design competition to expand and refurbish the Amari Coral Beach Resort in Thailand.
Situated on a secluded headland next to the popular Patong Beach in Phuket, the existing resort offers panoramic sea views and a private beach.
New luxury accommodation with private balconies and plunge pools, a "grazing" restaurant, bar and lounge form part of the scheme.

25.05.09 London Intercontinental starts on site
Construction of DMA's design for a new Intercontinental hotel in London's St. James Park has started on site. DMA’s scheme will transform the existing Queen Anne’s Chambers to create a luxury 5 star hotel featuring a new arrival canopy and porte cochere leading guests into an atrium reception.

22.04.09 Beaumont House is brought back to life
Beaumont Estate in Windsor is set in 40 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds which date back to the 14th century. Originally a private residence, then a boy's school and a training college, Principal Hayley took ownership of the land and has since invested £8.1 million to restore and convert it into an upscale hotel & conference venue.
DMA were appointed as lead consultants and architects to assist in the renovation and extension of the property which notably included the reinstatement of an 18th Century Chapel for use as a bespoke functions and event space. Our role also involved creation of 72 bespoke luxury guestrooms and refurbishments to public spaces in The White House.

21.04.09 New Marriott is officially open
This competition winning design for a 218 bedroom hotel with restaurant, bar and conference facilities for Kew Green Hotels was officially opened today at a ceremony attended by Mr Bill Marriott. It represents the first new build "Courtyard" brand in the UK.

This conference will provide an indepth look at the specific issues which affect the hotel sector. Topics include successfully managing costs, realising what clients want, exploring future trends in hotel architecture, sustainable design, along with a debate on the priorities of stakeholders in the design process.
